How to set up a fish tank ?
Pets

Having a fish tank is a delightful experience, it helps you relieve stress and set your mind on other things, specially for small children who sometimes can stay for hours just staring at your fishes.
When you first buy a fish tank you should always put it on top of some Styrofoam to help it from cracking and once you have decided the place you are going to put it you have to follow these steps to fill your fish tank.

• The first thing you got to do is put the stones on the bottom; make sure you have a thick layer of stones and/or sand.
• Arrange all you fish tank decoration and supplies such as filters, water pumps and cascades before you put the water in. (make sure everything is unplugged, some of those accessories have to be submerged in water before you turn them on)

About Cat Scratching Posts
Pets

Teaching your cat early to use a cat scratching post will save you a lot of headache and damaged furniture in the future. There are a few things to keep in mind when choosing a cat post:
1. It should be tall enough for you cat to stand on its hind feet and really stretch up high with the front legs. This is how many cats like to scratch. If a post is too short many cats may scratch at the base, but still use the sofa to stretch up. The flat types also allow a cat to stretch out along the ground to scratch.
2. Find one as stable as possible. The style that hangs on the door may swing or bang around when a cat tried to scratch and they won’t like it. Also posts that wobble when scratched are not attractive to a kitty.

Choosing a Veterinarian
Pet Health

Just as it’s important to choose a personal physician that you’re comfortable with, it’s important to choose a veterinarian that meets you needs. It’s important to choose a veterinarian that is knowledgeable. Some vets see only cats and dogs, other may also see birds, pocket pets or reptiles, but not everyone may see exotic animals regularly enough to maintain true expertise. If you have a bird, pocket pet or reptile, or some other more unusual pet try to find a doctor who specializes in these animals.

All veterinarians have a different approach to their practice. Some may be more aggressive with diagnosis and treatments, and others more conservative. Finding one that you are comfortable with will be a personal issue.
