Knowing When Its Over

Knowing When Its Over
Relationships

Break-ups are never easy for anyone, especially if you're the person being dumped. But what happens when you miss the signs and are blindsided by the winds of change. Not only are you left hurt and alone, but now you’re single again to boot! Fear not, life does go on and time really does heal all wounds. Being aware and living in the moment can not only help you minimize the pain associated with the split, but it can help you avoid the same pitfalls for the future. Normally there are indications that all is not well in your relationship. It's time to let go when...

a) Your boo no longer finds or makes time to spend with you.

b) You cannot reach your significant other via telephone, cell phone, email, fax, text or skywriting.

c) You hear the lies, I mean the lines "Not tonight honey, I'm tired" or "Really honey, I have a headache" frequently.

d) There are arguments for everything and anything. This becomes the norm rather than the exception.

e) Or worse yet, your honey sits you down and says the dreaded three-word phrase "I need space".

Moving on may seem hard at first, but in time it gets easier. Some great ways to get over them and move on with the steady beat of life include taking time to pamper yourself - get a hair cut, a massage, a manicure or a pedicure, get back in touch with your friends (you know the ones you ditched for Mr./Ms Right), go see a movie or go to dinner solo, try a new hobby, discover a new passion, volunteer, or even just take the time to get back in touch with you. It does not matter whatever you choose to do, just do something - other than mope around the house pining for your lost love.
