High Triglycerides - dsylipidemia -
Specific illness

Everybody always thinks a lot about the good and the bad cholesterol, they always are like my bad cholesterol is up and my good cholesterol is down, but few people take into account the triglycerides, triglycerides are fatty acids that we all have around our body, actually all of our cell walls have triglycerides, so we can't live without them but the problem is when they go up, the normal value is less than 200mg/dl ( for diabetics this has to be lower , and also it depends on the laboratory that makes your test ) if you have more than 200, you have to worry because high triglycerides are as important as cholesterol when developing arteriosclerosis.

Now, the thing is how to lower them, of course there are drugs specific that will help you to do so, but a good and proven treatment for this illness is to take OMEGA 3 FATTY ACIDS, right now I will not go into how this works, but to take about 1 gram/day of omega 3 will help you to lower the triglycerides.

Essentially Omega 3 is a acid that is taken from fish ( if you don't want to take fish pills you can just add more fish to your diet, it will work the same )

As of know Omega 3 has no known side effects except for what people call "fish burps" that is that when you take the capsules, after a while you start burping with a fishy smell, but that can be easily controlled if the pills are taken after you have eaten something and with plenty water.

Also the other "secret" for lowering triglycerides is to lower your intake of carbohydrates, ( yup the ones that are not used right away in your body are stored as fat , and in that process triglycerides are formed ) so watch out and eat less rice, less bread, etc.

Remember also exercise ! that's good for everything ( except if you have a specific condition that does not allows you to exercise )
