It’s important to choose a veterinarian that is knowledgeable. Some vets see only cats and dogs, other may also see birds, pocket pets or reptiles, but not everyone may see exotic animals regularly enough to maintain true expertise. If you have a bird, pocket pet or reptile, or some other more unusual pet try to find a doctor who specializes in these animals.
