One of the greatest skills in happiness is learning to be happy for others. Life has cycles and you cannot always be up. However, if you genuinely appreciate when others are on top, you’ll share their happiness vicariously. Don’t live by comparison, it either magnifies what you’re lacking or makes what you currently have appear inadequate. The only way to do this is to deeply understand that everything is a cycle and not to compare someone’s glory to… your defeat. Misery does love company, but only to prolong the miserable feeling and further dig you deeper. Happiness does not love the company of misery. Appreciate the sheer fact that it is inevitable to feel abundance again and allow seeing others happy to cement that hope. Sincerely really feel happy for people, it’ll cause an evolution in your emotional well-being.
